We have researched the subject thoroughly. We are completely satisfied that our conclusions are accurate. I suggest others who might find themselves in similar situations do as much research as possible and draw their own conclusions.
ETA: IANAL, but the guys who advised us are.

If the property is owned by thee church and the school has dedicated facilities that are only used for school activities, then I would steer clear of that portion. However, if the area is joint use by the school and the church, then I would say that carry is legal as long as school was not in session or a school sponsored function was taking place.

In our case, the church will be owning both property and structure. What I'm unclear on, is whether the preschool will be staffed by church employees, or if an outside organization would be using our facility for their school.
