Re: Costco ?
Please, let's not write Costco and tell them that their gun policy/sign/whatever is invalid and/or otherwise ineffective. Costco is where I go for my hearing aids to be adjusted and/or cleaned.
As for the Eric Scott question/s, what happens in Vegas apparently stays in Vegas.

I haven't, I will never set foot in a Costco. My wife asked about going there, because one of our daughters thought it would be a good idea. I told her should have to go without me, because I will not set foot in a Costco - ever.drjoker wrote:Has everyone forgotten Eric Scott?

This is an uncalled for insult to veterans and based on false information besides. PTSD does not make someone homicidal or willing to "shoot you for the slightest provocation". That is a lie from the Vietnam War period promulgated by anti-war activists spreading communist propaganda.drjoker wrote:Remember, a lot of these cops are returning vets. The symptoms of PTSD are flashbacks, anxiety disorder, depression, avoidance activities, a desire for isolation, hyperarousal caused by certain stimuli and anger outbursts. Someone suffering from severe PTSD is more like to run from you or find a place to hide than to confront you.

I share your attitude. Checked it out once, saw absolutely nothing that would induce me to return....especially after the Eric Scott incident.baldeagle wrote:I haven't, I will never set foot in a Costco. If you go to Costco, conceal and conceal it well.

Thank you Baldeagle, I wanted to say something but my response would have probably got me banned.baldeagle wrote:This is an uncalled for insult to veterans and based on false information besides. I trade at Costco. There are a few things I buy there that I can't get anywhere else.AJSully421 wrote:If you go to Costco, conceal and conceal it well.
Nothing that I can't live without. I'll trade with them until I see a 30.06 sign.
If I did not trade with any companies that are run by and for progessives, I would have a very spartan existence.
I do avoid the worst of them, and favor the businesses that openly share my values.

Re: Costco ?
My understanding is that we're given "effective notice" in the membership agreement.. If they keep that around, which they probably do, CC'ing and having a problem would be bad.TexasFlash wrote:cc'd at Costco in San Antonio yesterday; still no signs posted, new or otherwise...and yes, please let sleeping dogs lie.
There is a loophole though - my wife got our membership. I've never signed a thing. However, I know it's their property and respect the rules in "their house".

Doesn't written notice have to be worded exactly like the sign?cb1000rider wrote:My understanding is that we're given "effective notice" in the membership agreement.. Re: Costco ?
I'm actually not sure.
You're saying that if it's written notice, it has to conform at the time of notice? But verbal notice can simply be "no guns"?
You might be right - the result being that it's not technically "illegal" - but just a violation of membership police.
Then again, most members signed an agreement that essentially has "no guns" in it, hard not to claim that's effective notice.
With the whole Vegas thing, not sure I want to test it.

Re: Costco ?
Was there too few MWAG calls for us the first of the year? It seems we are complaining because a store hasn't put up the sign. We even started complaining about police because they fire the bad ones, and then bad-mouth Veterans because the might have PTSD and that makes some of them have bad behavior so we condemn all of them. Instead, we should get the help to the Vets that need it like this country promised it would. To all the Vets on this forum, Thanks for your service. We can sleep at night because many of you didn't.

Re: Costco ?
I conceal carry at costco. Please do not OC or we will see both signs posted.
There is no reason to OC when you CC in a business. Put on your jacket/concealment garment and proceed to be greeted....

Re: Costco ?
I'm not complaining.. It's an open question on Costco and is being discussed. The signage issue is obvious and no one is calling (that I know of) to demand signs. It's the membership issue that makes it slightly more complicated.
Not sure where all the PD and PTSD stuff came from.
