Port of Galveston - Carrying

When getting on a cruise ship in Galveston you don't enter a regulated part of the port until you go inside the building and pass thru security. Think of it like at the airport prior to passing TSA. You are good to carry in your car and parking lot to drop someone off at the ship and in the many parking lots around the cruise terminal, like many on here have already stated. Just don't carry the gun, magazines or ammo through the security checkpoint inside, you will get lots of unwanted attention. It's amazing how many people leave ammo or magazines in a bag they are carrying onto a cruise ship.
