How Many Of You Go Unarmed Out Of State?

I've considered taking my pistol with me when flying outside Texas, but after reading about the various hurdles one must leap in order to do so, I've always chosen to go unarmed. For me, that's too much bureaucratic bother, so I go empty handed.

It's easy to check a gun in luggage so I usually take one when I travel.

I traveled to canada in feb from south tx and planned my route so i would pass through only states that reciprocate with tx,I carry 24/7 whether at home or on the road traveling I can't tell when somebody may target me,and an out of state tag means tourist,even rental cars have tags from states all over.If i'm going to bespending time in a state i will research their chl laws ,if i'm passing thru I should be legal everywhere i stop as far as refueling and eating.

I carry when traveling regardless of mode of travel. There is not that much hassle involved when checking during flights, and it is easy enough to get the various state reg's from the internet. I will at times drive around a state like Illinois before I will stop and disarm just to drive across their state. That is just a personnel thing like not doing business what a 30.06 posted business. After carrying for as long as I have I feel very uncomfortable when not.

I am interested to know what you did when entering canada however. I do have to go there at times and like traveling to Mexico I am required to leave my firearms at home.

There are so many great places that allow guns. I don't vacation anywhere that tries to violate my civil rights.

Whenever I go over to Louisiana to the family Lake Home near Natchitoches, I always carry, that town has a Racial Problem, always has. Plus, I just don't like the idea of not carrying, especially in Louisiana. Not Saying anything bad about the State, but I've seen things happen over there that I don't won't no Part of.
