I was disarmed during a routine traffic stop. No reason was given so I think it was a pretense to hassle someone with a CHL. I won't guess why he wanted to hassle a CHL but it definitely wasn't officer safety. When I answered his "are you armed?" question by telling him about the handgun in my pocket, he told me to get out of my vehicle and stand at the rear bumper. Then he reached into my pocket and took my pistol. Then he turned his back to go to his vehicle to run the serial number and unload it. He never asked about the loaded AR15 inside the unlocked tailgate right where he told me to stand. If he even suspected I was a danger, he wouldn't have reached into my pocket while my arms and legs were free, I was balanced comfortably on my feet, and he had no backup. He definitely wouldn't have handed me the opportunity to trade up to my AR15 from a wimpy pocket pistol.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to conclude it's elementary it was about CHL harassment and not LEO Safety.
I sincerely apologize to anybody I offended by suggesting the Second Amendment also applies to The People who don't work for the government.
