My boss has flat out said that if anything ever happened at work I'm their only hope.... When I explained I couldn't carry inside the building she asked if I could still keep it in my truck. Not sure how my weapon being in the back parking lot is going to help us, but yea, at least I know she trusts me to keep her and the others around us safe.

30.06/.07 requires notification and a lack of effective consent, as mentioned above. You have written notification but you also have actual consent, much less effective consent so you are not prohibited. Under these conditions the signs mean nothing to you.

Consider this possibility. There is a workplace shooting at your job and you use your weapon to stop the perp, but only after he/she shoots and kills your boss. Without written consent, how do you prove your boss gave his consent?

In that case, the least of your worries is going to be beating the $200 ticket for carrying without effective consent... But, you will want to make the case so that you keep your presumption of justification under 9.31/9.32... Assuming you're being prosecuted for shooting the perp...that is.

I think Scott and others are on point about not worrying about the ticket. If the perp has already killed the boss, we are 99.9% sure the shooting was justified. Now the partners are going to ask and LEO officer to write you a ticket for carrying past their 30.06? Get the spouse/mother/child of the victim on TV, the partners will lose more business than they ever imagined.

I'd still have it in writing. Otherwise good people can do funny things (like not acknowledge having given consent) when their livelihood may be a stake (disagreement with other partners over your carry).
