The trailer I saw reminded me of the Accused & Death Wish. Just have to wait & see I guess.

I saw this movie tonight. Here is my mini-review.

Overall, very good. Not the "Death Wish" shoot 'em up kinda movie I thought it might turn out to be. Well done, and a thought provoking look at her downward spiral into becoming a vigilante. It's more about her, and her personal struggle with right and wrong.

Very violent. Lots of close ups, flash backs, and hard to watch scenes. Definitely a strong "R" rating here.

Little to no "gun control" issues, only that Jodi Foster could not buy a gun without a license, and a license would take 30-days, so she had to get one from the black market.

I read somewhere that it slammed on the NRA or its members. Not true. In fact, I would say this movie had very little to do with guns, gun laws, gun control, or any other political or 'hot button' issue. Well, there's one jab at the Iraq war. But that's about it.

I liked the movie, and as a CHL holder and gun rights advocate, I was not offended whatsoever. The movie manages to make it's point without glorifying or demonizing guns, and even the concept of self-defense.

My wife and I both enjoyed the movie.

My $.02

Oh yeah, race was also not an issue like I thought it was going to be. Jodi Foster killed, uh... lots of different races of people.

Thanks for the review. Your observations pretty much mirror what I took away from that interview with Foster. This one may be on my to-see list after all.
