for the last 7 1/2 years, i have been trying to get my wife involved with guns. she would not even touch them. she was glad that i was carrying cuz she felt save, but did not want any part of touching one. well, i am happy to report that the other day, not only did she pick one up but she field striped my sigma and m&p. i know it is not a complex process but it is a big deal for her. i might get her to carry one within a year!
how many of u guys out there involve their wifes in shooting? it would be nice to be able to go out and shoot and ....o yea spend quality time with the wife.

My wife really enjoys shooting with me.
Of course I didn't have to convince her of anything. I'm lucky, she likes firearms!

Count me in, my wife shoots and carrys.
She picked out a Ruger SP101 in 2001, then 8 months later switched to a Glock. Her carry gun these days is an XD in 9mm.
She and I have trained together and separately, she went to a two day ladies only course at Gunsite and really enjoyed that.
She is totally pro-2a and wants to get into rifles.
I am a lucky guy.

My wife shoots enough to stay proficient. She fixes supper wile I clean. Mom loves to shoot. She strips, cleans, & reassembles her own right beside me in the gun room.
Helps me reload too.

Yo. My wife "stole" my favorite revolver. She's welcome to it. It's community property anyway.

When my wife and I were dating, almost fifteen years ago, she came to my house and, having seen my gun rack, told me "I don't know if I can live in a house with guns."
The last time WE requalified for our CHLs - she fired a perfect score!

My wife had shot a few times when she was in the Air Force, but that was the extent of her experience. Then I decided to get my CHL, and she said she wanted to tag along and get one too. Her training started this past spring, and now we shoot three to four times a month, often going through four or five hundred rounds in a session. She is now proficient with her 642 and Glock 26, and loves to shoot our P7 and CZ85.
She qualified for her CHL with the Glock, but seems to carry the 642 much more often, probably due to the lighter weight. She looked at a Colt Python at the last gunshow we went to, and now she wants me to get one of those to have fun with. Yes, she is the same wifey who purchased a P7 for my birthday earlier this year, and who just gave me a Marlin 39A for Christmas...

Well, my wife and all of the kids go shooting with me, though the wife does not go as often as I like.
And while I take the credit for getting the kids interested, I have to admit I had nothing to do with the wife liking shooting. I met her when we were both on the ROTC Rifle team in college too many years ago. At least I can shoot better than her with pistols.

Yes, we go to the range about once a month. She has her TX CHL and just finished the 3rd renewal. She selected her own carry gun, SIG P239/40S&W. I told her it was too heavy. She likes it, she carries it plus a spare mag. I'm glad!

My wife enjoys shooting as much as i do ,She's from Canada and never touched a handgun til she shot my glock 17,She now owns a ruger 10/22 US shooting team commemorative rifle,RRA AR15 ,Henry 22 lever action, glock 17,and learned about eye relief shooting a scoped ruger mini 30...It left a welt
but she never did it again

Unfortunately, No... Tried for a few yrs after we got married but Wife is righty but left eye dominant and just never felt comfortable shooting....Also 3 daughters (14, 12 & 6) have shown no interest after multiple attempts. Tried a pellet gun for starters the a 22 with some scoring games where we could compete against each other, but no luck... I'm getting a suppressed .22 next to see if it helps. The noise spooks the heck out of them.
But they know I carry every day everywhere and often comment after big news events that they are glad I carry....
