There is hope yet for the wife!!!!!

Earlier today, the wife told me she was headed into 3rd Ward (Houston) to get her hair done. Now many of you might simply suggest going elsewhere (as would I) but, unless you are of African decent and have chosen not to chemically treat your hair, you won't understand why you can't just go anywhere to get your hair styled. But that's not the point of this post. The fact that the wife may be more open to carry than previously thought is.
When the wife told me the exact location she was visiting and then asked for cash, I expressed some concern, offered to give her a ride and wait for her. She declined and I jokingly offered to let her carry a gun in the car in addition to the OC she already carries. She replied, "I don't' have a license!" I said, "You can legally carrry a gun in your vehicle while travelling." And this is where she shocked me with a ray of hope. She immediately pointed out that a gun in the car would do her no good if something went down in the shop or before she got back to the car. Obviously, she's been paying attention! Of course, I offered to help her fix that problem. She laughed it off. But, I can't help but hold out hope that she may eventually come around to a more compatible way of thinking. Friends have suggested that kids may help that along but idunno if that's much of a fix. Not to mention it would take away from funds for my "toys."
