TxDPS says so, as does the official NM site. I'm not sure where on PDO you're seeing a "no" but their state-by-state listing is updated and correct. Perhaps what you're seeing is something that hasn't been updated since 11/30/05 when the NM folks officially recognized Texas CHLs.

the map for tx reciprocity still shows a red NM, but I trust our DPS.
Thanks for the info.

There's a note somewhere on PDO warning that the maps are slow to be updated, but the list of recognized states is updated more quickly. The text version on each state page is to be trusted before the map.

I'll be heading to CO this summer, so I will be creating a route sometime in the July timeframe. Got a bit of a race to run and I need to get up there early to get used to the altitude...
But I would love to hear how your trip went and what direction you took.

Kalrog,
I just made a quick trip to Aurora CO this last week. Left Tuesday
morning around 6am and got to Aurora CO about 9:30PM local. Loaded
up the next morning (picked up a SuperCub frame and both wings) and
headed back. Made a stopover in Childress for some quail hunting and
finally got home about 7PM Thursday. Good trip.
Took US83 North from Junction to US87. Stayed on US87 to Lubbock
then picked up IH27 to Amarillo then US287 all the way to IH70 in Limon
Co. Took IH70 into Aurora. Reversed route to Amarillo, then US287 to
Childress. Left Childress on US83 South and took it all the way home.
Good roads, plenty of places for gas and food, and very little traffic.
Oh, and I carried all the way.
Reciprocity is a good thing!
Kind Regards,
Tom

I just got back from Aurora, CO tonight. Been there since before Christmas with some very dear friends. Last I heard was a "NO" on New Mexico, so I went up 287 thru Oklahoma into Colorado and hit I70 at Limon also. Good roads and pleanty of coffee stops along the way.
just FYI,
Bubba

1st one on the list, with this note;
Effective November 30, 2005 New Mexico has issued a finding that officially recognizes Texas Concealed Handgun Licenses in New Mexico. Texas has recognized New Mexico's licenses since December 29, 2004. This has the effect of reciprocity between New Mexico and Texas.
