Hello

Newbie here-nice site. Looks like a lot of helpful people/information here. I was wondering-how long do you think one should go before inquiring into process status? I guess I'm around six weeks, depending when they got the packet (should've received in Austin 1st week in March).

More to the point, my concern is they go 60 days (If I'm inferring correctly, maybe much longer) before telling me if there's anything amiss. Something I could've helped rectify sooner if notified. I note people mentiong PIN numbers-did this occur because of applying online? Or should I just let it take its' own course? Thanks!

Welcome...

There are many discussions going on in the "Waiting Room" area of the website...And there are some ideas being kicked around about the processing times and a recent meeting of the minds about that subject...

Glad you are here...

Steve

My welcome too. :tiphat: I think you will be about as good if you do as your last sentence said & let it run its course. If there is a problem they will tell you when it comes up.

Oh, I believe it is a wise decision to let things take their course (within reason)...Sure you can call to inquire about the status, but I believe that sometimes only makes things worse for the prospective licensee...

Worse, in the way it will eat you up inside sometimes while you are waiting for that special envelope with your license in it... ;-)

Welcome to the forum.

Based on many recent postings, I would say call after one month. Applications miraculously break loose and PINs are issued after that phone call (sorry, Longtooth and Steve).

Just send in your application and forget about it! Do not check on-line, if there is a problem they will notify you by mail, trust me-do not check your status on-line!
