Carrying at onvention/conference - Adams Mark Hotel Dallas

I will be attending a conference / convention thing at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas (I believe that it is now the Sheraton Dallas). The conference organizer have a "no weapons" policy for the conference that mentions CHL's not being allowed but I dont believe the hotel or the conference center is posted by the actual owners/operators of the hotel. The way thier policy is worded, they seem to apply it to what ever hotel/conference center they use regardless of the facilities actual policies.

Do the convention organizers have a legal leg to stand on as far as banning CHL's while they are effectivly renting the hotel's convention space for the weekend?

If the Adams Mark is not posted (does anyone know for sure?) and there are no metal detectors I plan on carrying and viewing thier written policy as a "ghost busters" sign since it hasn't actually be verbally given to me and I have not signed anything that says I agree to thier policies.

Opinions?

If I find that I absolutly cannot carry, I just wont be attending. It would be a shame, but I refuse to support places that prevent me from carrying my firearm.

Thanks,
Christian

well I was there not long ago with the family on an overnight get-a-way. At the time I was there I saw NO 30.06 signage and no metal detectors. We stayed in the hotel but I still had a small handgun with me (I didnt dare leave it in the room or in my vehicle).

I dont know if the Nana has any such postings. Plus there are a couple of bars but I dont know if they are owned by the hotel or how 51% comes into play. For me I wouldnt enter any bar carrying regardless. I know a lot of the shops and restaurants are hotel owned.

I was there several years ago at a conference with my previous company. I didnt have a handgun because I was staying at the hotel and working the conference. I would believe that would fall under the company's weapon policy.

I would think that the organizers wishes are just that...a wish. What if I where staying at the Hotel for a reason other than the one your there for?

Curious - assume the organizers did have a valid 30.06 notice in pamphlet - are they even authorized to post valid 30.06 - even for the conference room they are lecturing in?
