Well guys I was working for a local glass co in tx city that my family owned and I could carry where ever state law said I could and the felt secure having me around the office as well. But as of this Fri I can't carry at work anymore. I got the job I have been trying for, for almost six years now! I start fri! better benefits, pay, more vacation, sick days, paid holidays, company vehicle in about a year! retirement plan, all the french benefits or was that fringe? Anyway Time Warner states in their manuals that no hand guns are allowed. However it doesn't say I can keep my mouth shut and keep it locked in my truck in the parking lot. In the mean time does anyone know a good pepper or oc in a good size can? The hand book doesn't say anything about personal protection sprays either! At least I'll be able to shoot something at a perp or viscious animal I may come in contact with. I would like to find some kind of spray that I can where in a belt holster.

Fringe benefits mean insurance. French benefits mean an intern in a blue Gap dress.
Congratulations and condolences. I'd go with the plan you've got: a locked truck and a closed mouth.

Mrjayjay,
http://www.jlsdp.com will have several choices & some new ideas that you have probably never thought of. If you are still young & healthy enough to fight effectively, they have several very small keychain impact weapons you may be interested in. I carry their Fox OC as secondary weapon & both the ladies in my life do too. Wife & Mother. Prices are excellent & I will not be the only one to list them. Just the 1st this early in the morning. Hate to see you leaving the family business. Money aint worth some of the things it buys. Another thread though.

Mr. jayjay,
Longtooth is right! You can't get anything that is better than FOX OC.
J&L Products has the the best price and $6.95 flat rate shipping. My fresh supply for '06' arrived last week. The refills for the Hardshell keychains are only $7.25 ea. It is recommended that you replace your OC yearly.
That one that you wear like a ring and it lays across the back of your hand looks like a winner. (too big for my wife tho) The 2 oz. Flip Top was juuust right for her.
J&L is fast to ship also. Regards, OE

+1 on Fox Lab.
comp-tac.com makes a holder for one that is a clip that goes on your belt and holds the OC horizontal. I carry it OD a lot.

Unless the TW manual uses the correct wording from the 30.06 sign, you can legally carry at work. It would be against company policy and you could be fired for it - but this IS a right to work state so you can be fired for nothing - but it isn't illegal.
My employer does the same thing. I stay legal.

Also, the TAZER trainers are going to have to modify their training to include not aiming for pockets that have cigarette lighters in them...
"Excuse me, Mr. unstable crack-head??? (Baytown will say "thug"
) Do you have a lighter in your pocket??? I don't want to injure you if thats the case...Thank you for your cooperation..."
/sarcasm
Have a nice day...

You are right, they can fire you, but they can't prosecute you for criminal trespass.
What's more important?
$$ in the bank from your job or carrying in your back pocket in a supposedly 'secure' environment?
