I might be going to the Addison Improv soon. How exactly does one check to see if a business gets 51% of their income from alcohol? I only ask because the sell copious amounts of adult beverages there.

last time I was there I did not see any 51% sign. Keep in mind that they get lots of revenue from ticket sales, and they also sell food too. If you really wanna know for sure you could contact TABC, but pretty sure you should be OK carrying in there.

Keep in mind that the absence of a 51% sign doesn't mean it's legal to carry there. They could have the wrong sign or failed to post a sign, but the responsibility is yours.

Here is an explanation from another thread explaining how to tell is a facility is 51% or not.

If it has a line on it that says "SIGN=RED" then TABC has determined that they are 51% and you can be prosecuted for carrying there. If they have a line that says "SIGN=BLUE" then they are not 51% according to TABC and you can carry there with a CHL.

Has anyone verified the TABC status of this place? I am supposed to go there next week and I was curious if someone has verified the 51% status.

I didn't see it on texas3006.com.

Thanks

Bill

I have not been to the Improv in Addison, but I've been to one in San Jose, and it was the equivilant of 51%; it had a cover charge, and a drink minimum.

I haven't been there in several years, but if I remember correctly, they had a 2 drink minimum when I was there.

I'll be near there this evening and will be happy to make a quick stop and look for either a 30.06 or 51% sign.
