Well today was my second day a CHL holder and I have to relate a story. Yesterday was the kiddo's 2nd B-day and as such we were having family and such over. I was getting ready and was putting on the C-Tac w/ Glock 23. The wife asks how is it "concealed" when everyone can see those two clips? I explain about the observation skills of the "sheeple" and she is not convinced. Any way, no one as far as I know noticed at the party.
Now this morning we go to Church and such as ususal and later at home I walk through the house with the holster in hand to do some adjustment. The wife see it and states "You didn't wear that to Church did you?". I reply " I don't know, did I?". So she shot down her own thoery from the day before. Because I did in fact wear it to Church and she nor anyone else I'm aware of noticed those two clips she was SO worried about.
She is just going to take some time getting used to me carrying a gun around. But she is doing good so far.

LOL

My wife would send me back into the house if we got in the car and she discovered I was not carrying.

+2, mine always asks if "Smith" is with me! Don't worry, TxFire, your wife will become accustomed to your ccw sooner or later. And congrats on getting your chl.

You wore a gun to Church????

Yeah, me too. I hugged the Worship Team and fellowshipped with other Worshippers and nobody knew but The Lord and He approves.

Take a Texas gun to Church. STI.

She will get used to it. And when she does, then you can work on getting her to carry one too!

Yea, congrats on CHL - and first "church carry".

FWIW, if ya haven't discovered already, in a pinch, slipping some of the holster clips over top of waistband (instead of the belt) causes the belt to "conceal" the most of 'em.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna start working on her more once she gets used to me carrying. I've talked about her getting her CHL and she does understand why she needs to. My least upsetting reason for her is "Just in case I leave it in the truck." I think eventually I'll get her to come around.

I just received my CHL on Friday. I had to go to the store on Satuday and my fiance never knew I had my H&K on me. I think she's starting to get used to the idea as when we went to IHOP yesterday she said she had forgotten all about it and was going to ask me when we got home.
