Does the DPS notify when your PIN has been assigned, or am I somehow able to check on line for status?

They will mail you a letter about 4 to 6 weeks after receiving your application.

I finally wrote them an email last night to inquire about my pin number. Hopefully I was polite enough, and will get some response. I sent off my packet on March 20th, and the check was cashed on March 31th, so far no pin number. Its been 59 days.

Gosh Almighty,

I thought it would be days before I'd hear from DPS, but this morning, there was my pin number. Less then 24 hours, what great people. I checked the web site and it states that they are processing my application. Good, at least I now know what is happening. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the process progresses without a hitch. Thanks for the welcome.

Can you just call them, and request a email for your pin ? if it's been more than 4 weeks... Or who do you email as the application is already there

I did. My PIN got lost in the mail. They asked the questions to confrim I was who I said I was and then just told me my PIN over the phone. YMMV.

Wow they emailed me back the same day...However this was the response Quote "Your application has not been entered into the system. It is likely going though the processes required before entry. When a completed application is entered you will be sent a confirmation letter with your PIN number. "

Go figure... :waiting:
