He may not have been a Pizza Delivery guy, but delivery personnel of all kinds are common targets for thuggery. Good to see this one decided not to be a victim.

A male teen was fatally shot and two others are in custody after they apparently confronted a delivery driver late last night in southeast Houston.
The shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Thursdayin the 8600 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
The teen, who has not been identified, was shot at least once, police said.
Investigators said a vendor was delivering products to a store when three confronted him and asked him to give them some of the items. He refused and they began beating him.
The vendor pulled out a handgun and shot one of them.
No other information was immediately available.
Also, I believe it has been said here before, and I know my CHL Instructor said this, that it has been established somewhere that a 3-on-1 situation, even just with bare hands, has been considered deadly force by a jury somewhere, and may be responded to in kind.

Brother in law was a pizza delivery guy in Illinois. He was robbed something like 3 times.

If that's for SD ammo that might not be very much!

Disparity of force..yes it not exactly covered in the authorization of deadly force..but explaining it to a DA or Grandjury that you feared for your life and was becoming overpowered...helps.

Serious body injury can result if I'm hit in the head by one young male. Three is overkill.

I just hope he wasn't carrying against company policy, since he's a delivery driver for a "vendor".

Just realized today that I know the driver. He is a really mice guy and I am sure he is taking the whole situation pretty roughly. This one hit a little to close to home.

Perhaps you should tell him to join us here on the forums, because we all have nothing but encouraging words for him!
Sometimes, just knowing that other people have your back can help people get through a tough time.
Also, I'm sure lots of people here would like to hear the story from his mouth (fingers?) here, so that we all may learn.
