Time for a little LEO Humor?

#1

Post by Greybeard »

Some of the threads here lately getting pretty serious, some folks getting a little wadded up. Maybe time to share how some others have to "vent" ...

' Got to catch up a bit with old friend at recent Market Hall gun show.

Me: "Well, how's the 'cop business' these days?"

Him: "Oh business is GOOOOOD. We're still number 1, retaining our market share quite well. Heck, we had 11 of 'em shot all in one place the other night. No fatals, but the paperwork on that one alone is enough to keep several people reeeeeeal busy for at least two months ..."
--------------
And, to keep gun-related, edited from an e-mail received this morning:

From a friend who knows the truth:

Well, it's not a mid-life crisis, but here's how things worked out for me.

Married 25 years, took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 25 years ago, We had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed, watched a 10 inch TV, and I carried a cheap .38 off duty. But, I got to sleep every night with a hot 25 year old blonde.

Now, we have a nice house, nice cars, a big bed and plasma screen TV, and I carry a Kimber .45. But, I'm sleeping with a 50 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25 year old blonde, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and MAYBE have enough left to carry a cheap .38 .... "

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I must admit that Mrs. Anygun has weathered the years much better than your's truly.

I still catch myself gazing at her the same as I did over 34 years ago when we first met.

We are lucky men.

And that is one of the funniest things I have ever read.
