One off of Amon Carter Blvd in Fort Worth,

Had to go by there today to pick up some scanners I had repaired. On the south entrance where you have to go to pick up has a gunbuster sign stating "Carrying concealed handguns is prohibited on these premises"

As usual I went in anyway being legal, security office is there as soon as you enter. I started looking around and to go anywhere in that building you have to go through metal detectors, mainly for the workers so they don't sneak off with electronics or parts. Long story short I didn't have to go beyond the detectors, just stood there at the security office waiting on them to bring me my boxes.

They don't mess around there, it is a huge place with there own cafeteria and security is pretty tight.

Please post this on texas3006.com, at least to warn people about the metal detectors.

I did carry it inside, read the whole paragraph :headscratch

I didn't post it on 30.06 due to the fact it states no gunbuster etc.....Would they want it, I know the metal detectors are better than the 30.06 or 51%

I worked as a consultant in the late 90's. One of my clients was an electronics manufacturer near Ft. Worth. They had non-compliant signs all around, but the funniest thing was the metal detectors were all on the way OUT! They did not scan you going IN, so you could walk in with a grenade if you wanted to, but you couldn't get it out. Left my gun in the car. I generally don't carry at work because it's against my company policy and illegal in most of the places/states that I work currently. In this case even if I wanted to carry in the location, I couldn't figure a way to get my gun OUT!
