How does the conviction reporting work?

#1

Post by nathank »

Question for a friend...

2 DWIs, and 1 fleeing from police. Most recent was Dec-1995.

Listed all on CHL application, but there is a sentence that says "include certified copies of judgement and sentence from the courts". What, if any, documentation needs to be included for these? Should a copy of arrest record be included?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello nathank , welcome to the forum. :tiphat:

Your friend needs to get a certified copy of the disposition letter(s) from the county clerk or the court
where the incident(s) took place.

Basically this is a certified record of any arrest(s) and the outcome of the arrest(s).

Your friend will need to list all arrests on his or her application , as failing to do so can be a reason for DPS to deny an application.
