I had the same thing happen in January. It will have no effect on your CHL. Also, if it is within 60 days of the expiration date, a lot of jurisdictions will wave the ticket fee if you show them that you rectified the problem.

even if you don't pay it I doubt it would affect your CHL...at least for a LONG time (unpaid ticket surcharges may suspend your license which would then possibly hinder your CHL renewal.

Solid advice. I would get it done ASAP and ask the judge to review my driving record and criminal history and ask him to take in consideration that this was a one time slip up and see what happens. GL.

Weeellll, it's about time I chime in. Go pay the ticket and you will be fine.

I had a ticket for an expired inspection sticker, expired registration, and a tail light out, ALL at the same time. All 3 went to warrant, and i was arrested and booked. (this was before I applied for a CHL.)

I did community service to nullify the fines (to the tune of $1.235.00) and I received my CHL last October.

Bottom line.....pay the fine and you'll be fine. :thumbs2:

It wont affect your CHL at all.

It will grind on the back of your mind everyday you dont get your inspection done and the ticket taken care of. Everytime you see a cop you will be turning the other way, avoiding turn arounds, and an assundry of other practices that will keep you from actually focusing on your real life. Next thing you know you will be sitting in an inspection sticker self help group, and saying "Hi my name is___________and I'm an inspection sticker dodger"

Great way to draw attention from a bored officer IMO.

Good to hear. By everything I was able to read including the law book handed out at the class. I could find nothing stating that it should, but this is the first citation I have had in over ten years so I guess I just got nervous.
