Address Change

#1

Post by hambony »

I went to do the address change online, changed all the info etc, and when I went to the print receipt and checklist page it gave me this...

Concealed Handgun Licensing Online Application Checklist
(Mail this page with ALL the items listed below)

-there is then the barcode-

-it then looks like this

Required items
-there is an empty box that says checklist next to it.

There is then the paragraph that says DPS cannot process all items without the checklist and supporting documents.

edited for: I payed with credit card online so I don't need to mail in a check.
What am I missing. The receipt and checklist print doesn't seem to print a checklist, just the barcode deal. Please help me out on this one, I don't want to spend hours on the phone trying to get this figured out.

Just so happens I did the same thing this weekend. I was going to call tomorrow morning to find out what the story is. I did an address change about 6 months ago and didn't have to send anything in, so I'm guessing it hasn't changed.

I'll report back what I find after I call unless someone else beats me to it.

Ok, the Online Application Checklist thing is a glitch on the website that they are working on fixing. Change of address still doesn't require you to send anything in.

Very nice, thanks for finding that out. I miss the DFW area, lived in The Colony, Mesquite, Addison, and just off 75 near the North Park Mall. Happy trails.

I sent them an e-mail. They sent me a new card... got here before my DL.

I've done it twice this year. Seems like CHL is taking 10-12 days, DL is about 3-4 weeks.
