In order of events:
--November 02'--filled out CHL application online and paid $130 via credit card
--December 02'--Received my application packet via USPS
--next 2 1/2 years--Started a company and somehow forgot to take my CHL class
--April 30th, 2005--completed my CHL class.
--May 2nd, 2005--Mailed my completed Application packet to Austin.
--May 27th, 2005--Online status changed from
"Packet Mailed to Applicant" to
"Processing Application". (25 days)
Hopefully it won't take as long to receive my license as it did for me to take the class... :? :)

I had originally taken my class in September of '03. DPS told me that you had 2 years to send in the application from the time you had taken the class.
For some reason there was always something coming up that requireed that $140 that was set aside for the CHL.

Well....when I called Austin and inquired as to the "shelf-life" of my application the lady said to update any new info on my application and send it in. And it looks as if they're processing it so......I guess we'll see if it gets kicked back.

I would. Remember to be nice....they are swamped. Just tell them it's a few days from the 60 day mark and have them look it up.

I'm not familiar with that ritual...
Sounds very gastrically unstable though...
But hey...I live for instability...
