Application and CHL Class Question

Hello,
I took my CHL class this saturday and passed it. I have the Application filled out online, but have not submitted it yet. I plan on doing it this friday. My question is can submit the online app or do I have to send in the printed one they gave us in the class since I took the class before the app was submitted. My instructor suggested that I just send in the packet he provided. Also on the finger printing, can I set it up or does the DPS send me the go ahead to set up an appointment after either application is submitted?
On the checklist here it says three signed affidavits, I think we only have two in the packet, I will double check that this evening.
Thanks,
frank

Ok Here is what I currently have in my packet.
Original Application
Residence History
Criminal history info
Photo Holder/ ID Picture
Authorization for Release of records Affidavit
Knowledge of Laws and Eligibility Affidavit
CHL-100
Disposition Docs
There are only two Affidavits here and the checklist say three. Which one am I missing. I searched the forum and found nothing. These are what all of us in the class received from the instructor. Thanks!

First, throw away that checklist.
Complete your application online, which will include the affidavits/authorization. No notary necessary. At the end of the app, you will get an accurate checklist to go by.

And you cannot schedule your fingerprints until your application is in the DPS system.

I recommend entering your application online as well. I went that direction last month and everthing went very smoothly. Plus, as soon as you complete the application, it automatically takes you to the fingerprinting site so you can set up that appointment and have it linked to your application. Also, be sure the forms you received in your class are up to date. The class I took provided me with an out of date photo holder form. The old form they gave me talked about having the fingerprinters sign the back of your photos, plus they told me in the class that had to be done. The up to date form does not have that language. I used the new form with no signature and received my chl withing 30 days of submitting the packet to the DPS.

I have the barcode document, photos in envelope, photo holder, disposition docs, chl-100. I have the date set for my finger prints scheduled. Am I ready to send the packet to DPS? Does the FAST place give you anything that needs to be sent in along with the packet or is all that info transmitted by them to the DPS? Thanks!

There is nothing to send for the fingerprints. That's all taken care of electronically.
As long as you have everything on the checklist, seal it and send it.
