Headed to Louisiana
Spendinf a week in Louisiana. I have looked over their CHL laws and seem decent.... are there any subtleties I should know about with their CHL laws?

Re: Headed to Louisiana
All gunbuster signs are valid notification. They don't have a "30.06" sign requirement.
There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are tests.

Don't think you can sit in the bar area of a restaurant while carrying.

Re: Headed to Louisiana
Some folks in my CHL class this summer were going on about how you gotta carry some kind of proof of ownership of the gun you are carrying or they'll confiscate it under the assumption its stolen? Something about because of Katrina and all the loose guns wandering around after then. I didn't put much stock in what they were saying but if you've got a photocopy of your purchase receipt maybe put it in the glovebox. Rumors only though, maybe someone else's heard something about it though.

Well, I'm back...but that is weird, if true. Did find out though that LA has outlawed cash transactions...ie, private gun sales, flea market sales etc unless there are written reciepts so the gvt doesn't lose money. http://fleamarketzone.com/2011/10/louis ... rchandise/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;knotquiteawake wrote:Some folks in my CHL class this summer were going on about how you gotta carry some kind of proof of ownership of the gun you are carrying or they'll confiscate it under the assumption its stolen?
