While at my Credit Union I was talking to the Sheriffs Deputy there. In the course of our conversation he mentioned that the Texas CHL laws do not apply to Federally Insured institutions. He explained that due to that, there is no need to post 30.06, that there is no legal CC because of the Federal Insurance.
How does this read with y'all? I have never heard of this before.
Any ideas?

So if someone has FEMA flood insurance you can't carry inside? There are idiots in every profession! Oh man, I had an FHA loan on my house, or was it a VA loan insured by the Federal Govt. ....
Someone in the bank has a federally insured loan ... someone at the grocery store does too ...

he probably thinks a federal credit union is owned by the government too.ofcourse people dont know what the federal reserve is either.
