is it off limits because it has amusement rides or technically on high school property
My assumption is the fair ground are going to be off limits not because they are a fair ground, but because it appears to be school grounds. but the parking areas are open game to lock it in the safe spot in the truck
thanks

"Premises" is defined as inside a building, or inside the stadium.
If the fair is simply on property owned by the school, there are no 30.06 signs, and the fair is in operation less than 120 days a year, etc... you are permitted to carry with a valid CHL.

the fairgrounds and the Extraco Event Center are county property. However, the buildings are posted 30.06. Whether this is legal or not (I don't know if Extraco's sponsorship give them private control) is debatable. In any event, the rodeo in the Event Center is a professional sporting event, and prohibited by statute.

the extraco event center has a professional rodeo so I would think the event center is off limits.

thanks folks
I was thinking the place would be off limits under a few rules, but the site is gray about who actually is the sponsor so to speak so I will lock it in the safe
