Mailing documents vs emailing them
I just mailed our (bride's and mine) documents to the CHL office today. Following the recommendation of our CHL instructor, I mailed them separately, certified mail. But I am wondering how many people are now scanning the docs and attaching the files to emails to send them in to DPS in Austin. And if there is a significant time difference in processing.

Re: Mailing documents vs emailing them
I emailed the docs for my wife and me and received our cards 10 days after doing the finger prints, which was the last thing I needed. But that was in August before the rush. I emailed because of several others posting that it was faster, and I must agree. I know I've read more than a few posts where mailed their paperwork then emailed it a few days later just to see if they could get it done quicker. I don't think they reported any problems with that approach.

I would hate to delay processing by sending duplicate documents: email and snail mail, but I have certainly considered it.
