I went to the Tarrant County tax office this morning to get new tags for my truck.
Big as Texas they have the hours of operation sign blocking 30% of the 30.06 sign. :?

Aren't they not allowed to post as a government entity anyways?

There's nothing in the law to stop them from posting, but even a proper 30.06 sign doesn't apply to a CHL if it's government property.

The law needs tweaking here, to prohibit (and provide penalties) for display of a 30.06 sign by a government entity.

One of the vendors that I deal with has the 30.06 posted INSIDE the front door on a wall. You do not actually see the sign until you are leaving. I pointed out that the sign was not legally posted and the person behind the counter did not seem to care. Several weeks later, the sign was still in the same place. I have to assume that they are covering up a hole in the wall with the sign because the are not using it to keep law abiding CHL holders from carrying while in their place of business. 8)

chadster1,
Don't tell people when they are not properly posted! Whose side are you on?

Could be a business ploy. You can't legally pass the sign to leave. :)

I went back to the tax office for other business this morning and they have fixed the sign. Maybe somebody there reads this board. :D
