Ok, here is the situation.

You have your CHL and you are packing, you are in line at Wal-Mart and this happens.

What would your actions be?, step by step.

Thank you!

I got distracted by the voting about global warming on the side LOL...

I have an idea what I would have done, but I'm going to wait for others to post first. I don't want to say something wrong because someone will throw the book at my like usual...

I was think the same thing too.

or...

I'll tackle the guy to the floor and knock his gun outta his hand. By that time, I'll probably have 3 or more backup help from Wal-Mart employees. It just depends how the situation went down.

True.

I probably won't do anything. Probably just duck behind a counter and stay clear away from the situation.

Since I am probably standing in the checkout line with my wife and kids getting groceries for the week, I would:

If the BG stayed focused on the cashier
  • Move my family to safety
    Call 911
If the BG oriented on me and my family
  • Protect my family out of a genuine fear for our lives.

I would use cover if it was there, as my Wal Mart has changed things around that there is not much in the check out lines. After getting cover then dial 911 while trying to get as much info on the guy to become a good witness for police when they get there. Only if he made a move for me or my family would I do more then cover and watch. Since I am not a police officer I do not have to act to stop the guy.

Cap him. After spending 30 minutes standing in the checkout at Walmart, I wouldn't be able to handle someone cutting in line like that.
