Sneaky Petes, Lake Lewisville. Posted?

#1

Does Sneaky Pates on Lake Lewisville have a 30.06 or 51% sign posted? Need to plan ahead and decide if my pistola gets a day off while I do some boating. Thank you.

I think it's a 51% place, but I ain't sure.
Last time I was there, didn't see a single 30.06 sign.

Thank you. I know they have a huge restaurant and bar section so unless posted 51% it may be good to go. My plan is just to go straight through Pete's and out to the boat docks. Two minutes max.

May not be so clear-cut.

Lewisville is a Corps of Engineers Lake. Our CHLs do not allow for carrying on Corps property - the whole Federal property thing.

IANAL and am somewhat concerned because I do enjoy our lakes.

Can you carry on Sneaky Pete's property - the restaurant, marina, dock? I don't know. Even if the answer is yes because that is private property, I would assume the answer becomes "no" the minute you step off the dock and set your foot on your boat because it is floating on the COE Lake.

Is there some legal boundary around the lake, ie xyz feet from the waters edge that is also considered Corps property? I don't know.

I would personally lean that direction, to be safe (no pun intended), until I found out for sure.
look up the ol' Texas Statutes for a full explanation.

Corps property on most of their lakes, including Lewisville, includes land waaaay beyond just the water.

Sumbuddy please let me know when there is a consensus of the legal beagles regarding Texas Statues and Corps land. ;-)
