I have a valid Arizona CHL. Is it possible to obtain a Texas CHL,without taking a class or any other requirement, just based on the fact that I possess a valid Arizona CHL?

Sorry, no, it is not. To get a Texas CHL you must take the class, in Texas, from a Texas CHL Instructor, though you may have an address outside of the state. The license class is both didactic, in-class with a simple 25-question exam at the end, plus a proficiency demonstration using a pistol with no smaller than a .32 caliber.

More information on the requirements at: https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/chl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
