With OC now on the books, how will it change your carry strategy?

I plan to OC when I think it's appropriate/where allowed but I also want to retain the ability of easy CC.

After much trial and error I have found what is the best CC EDC system for me. G26 in Comptac MTac IWB with spare G19 Mag. My OC EDC could easily be the same set up I have now just a matter of covering and uncovering. With the mantra of "concealed is concealed", when CC I want to remain concealed. My current CC system provides the right trade off/balance of capacity (10+15+1), concealability and comfort.

Now with OC, I am thinking I will do it often enough that I might want to take advantage of the larger G19, with a little more capacity, (15+15+1). I already have the G19 with an IWB holster for it so it's gonna be easy to see how it works out. ( the G19's extra grip length pokes my muffin top , hence the reason I carry the G26, its a lot more comfortable for me to CC) With OC, I can adjust the holster enough so the G19 doesn't poke me.

My original idea was to get the full size G17 or maybe even one the tactical model Glocks for OC and perhaps an OWB holster (kydex?), great for OC maybe not so much for CC.

I'd like to stay as consistent with my carry as possible but have the flexibility to be flexible as much as my planned activities allow me to.

If you have plans to experiment with a new carry gun/holster because of OC, please share your ideas!

Will carry my same rig all the time - M9 in Serpa or M&P in Serpa - the only other type of rig I MAY run - especially going to from my training grounds to work on tracking with my hounds or tracking dogs is a Serpa Tactical drop leg - and I do this because it hurts alot when training dogs and you have to make a correction if in the process of getting your hands on the dog - you bang your elbow into the butt of an M9

I don't ever intend to open carry. I carry an SDx in a Hidden Hybrid.

I'll probably buy some OWB holsters for comfort on my tight pants/shorts but dress the same as CC.

Same here. Really not interested in advertising but would enjoy the comfort of OWB carry

I will continue to CC, however, when riding the motorcycle, not as concerned about my shirt coming up

seems like all who plan on O C have it all figured out.

I've carried CC OWB untucked shirt since Texas relaxed their "accidental" exposure law, so nothing will change for me - as others have posted elsewhere, just won't be as concerned about CC being exposed. Otherwise, will only overtly OC in the field as I do now - in and around cities will still CC.

Same for me, I carry my Glock 30 in a belt holster with a shirt over it, that's what I will continue to do.

when in the view of the "general public", my OC will only be "when the wind blows my skirt up" .... and I won't be concerned one bit.

Like I've said on this forum for several years, I would like to be able to take my jacket off in a nice eating establishment while eating and not worrying about my IWB carry, but that's probably going to be my extent of "public" OC.

Pretty much. I will OC to my neighborhood park... just for the experience of it all. I already OC at the ranch, it will be nice to stop by a Whataburger or jump out and pump gas without having to thread the holster off my belt.

I don't ever see myself carrying around Fort Worth... unless there is some OC rally or something fun like that.

Same as now. IWB strongside, Tanfoglio BTA90 (SA/DA), 12+1, 13 round mag on weakside, safety on. I already have a paddle holster and a belt holster I have used for open carry in other states. Of course, I also have 197 days in which to acquire more stuff.
