This may be a recurring question but I just acquired a Glock 42. I currently have a Glock 27 and it can become kind of heavy when carrying for a long time. What type of .380 rounds should I get for this bad boy? I want something that will punch through clothes plus be semi accurate. Suggestions?

I'm no expert but even a BB will go through clothes.

I carry Spear Gold Dot JHP in my .380.

Trade it in for the 9mm G43. Not significantly bigger, and packing 9mm instead of .380.

My wife and I both have G43s and love 'em.

The Corbon DPX line is very highly thought of, and it performs well in short barrels.

The problem with .380 is that there isn't a huge array of premium quality self defense ammo for it. And also (although this is admittedly less likely with a Glock), hollow points don't always feed well in .380 pistols......which means that a lot of people carry their .380 with just plain ball ammo.

If you have the means, trade it in on the 9mm, and I think you'll be a lot happier in the long run.

I didn't see anyone hear trying that argument. There is no since in bringing it up. That is not his question.

I carry ball in my Colt Mustang. I have no hard fast data on which I based that decision.

A .380 is a 9mm kurz (short).
A 9mm is a 9x19 or 9mm gross (long)

9x17mm 9mm Kurtz (German for Short) or aka .380
9x18 9mm Makarov
9x19 9mm Parabellum or Luger
9x21 9mm Largo (Spanish for Long)

Never heard 9x19 called 'gross'. What language is gross for long?
