Has anyone seen the new curriculum for 2016?

The TxDPS site says new curriculum is required for LTC classes after 1/1/16, but their website still only had the 2013-2014 Handbook pdf available.

Yes I have seen the new curriculum.

There is the new DPS lesson outline based on the new laws. And the DPS provided addition for gun retention.

We have the new outline.
We have the new laws.
We have the new retention lesson.

It's up to the instructors to create the lesson itself. I have updated mine and we' re ready to go.

Thanks Tex,

I may go through another class at some point just so I can ask my 285 questions

Would be nice if they'd release another handbook, but I guess that's wishful thinking.

They will.

In the many years that we have been teaching, March is the earliest I have seen it. It has been as late as June.

Patience is a virtue. Using the previous one, and adding the legislative updates is an option.

I'm sure a new CHL-16 (or LTC-16?) handbook will be released, it may just take a few more months. I'd expect one around July or August.

: If I had a dime for every time I've been told "Patience is a virtue." :woohoo

Maybe I should make THAT my New Year's Resolution....on second thought, maybe I should stick with something achievable :rolll

I completed the course on Saturday, January 2nd with what seemed to be an updated curriculum. Still have the handbook if you have any questions.
