Looks good! Accuracy of my location on map appears to be more precise.

I just downloaded the update. I'll try and remember to get back after a few days and let ya'll know how it works for me.

Used it earlier today in San Antonio (to verify lack of entry before submitting a new one) and just a little while ago in Fort Worth. Seems to be a very nice upgrade.

When the prior version loaded, the map was of North America. Now when the map loads it shows Europe.

When the map loads it should center on your current location. Please ensure you have granted the app location permissions.
I don't have location services turned on. Sucks the life out of the battery. The prior version always loaded with north America showing and it was easier to zoom to the city I was interested in. Now I have to cross the Atlantic.

Is there a way to have it start on the listing page?

Funny, I have usually found the mobile version of Google Maps to be less accurate but it may depend on where you are. I know the mobile version still shows non-existent roads in rural areas of Central Texas, some of which I have reported to Google multiple time. The desktop version doesn't show them (after 5 emails over several years) but they still show up in the mobile version (including the 3006 iPhone app). Since there are no businesses that would be posted, and I doubt anyone will use the app for navigating, this is a minor annoyance.

This does result in something amusing this time of year. I was at my parents house yesterday and there was a UPS truck that was obviously lost and driving in circles because he was following his GPS. This gets the temporary drivers every year during the holidays........

Russell wrote:In case you hadn't seen the post on our Facebook page (and if you're on Facebook and haven't liked our page, why haven't you yet?!), we've released a major update to the iPhone app. It now uses Google Maps (instead of Apple Maps) and utilizes the Google Place Picker to facilitate MUCH easier submission of new entries by allowing you to choose the businesses around you that you want to submit!

I wanted to start a thread here about the update to request feedback on this new version. If you have an iPhone and have a few minutes, please grab the latest update from the app store and let us know here how you like it! If you run into any issues, definitely let us know here too.

Thanks y'all! :tiphat:
Russell, finally got the new update on my tablet (my iPhone iOS is too old for it).

One suggestion - your example 30.06 sign and explanation should include a reminder/warning that passing a 30.06 sign on a college campus is a Class A misdemeanor, not a Class C like nor all places.

Thanks for all your good work.
