Bandwidth warning: Fruit hunting

We had some oranges going bad in the fridge:

They were no match for the .243:
(55gr Winchester/Nosler Combined Technology bullets w/max load of Varget)

Even three oranges were no real threat, except to the optics:

Unfortunately, I didn't get that other camera with the nice pullback views working right until after these .30-06 tests with hot-loaded Barnes 165gr TSXs:

How were you able to time the shutter for impact?

I just used the video mode on a couple of older digital cameras and went back through with some video editing software that let me go frame-by-frame until I got to the impacts. I've used the same method to get muzzle flashes, though those tend to happen too quickly for even the 30fps video to get them reliably, so it usually takes 5-10 shots to get a good one.

POOR defenseless oranges....... "rlol" hey ain't it hard to mount those on the wall after you shoot them.
