A few used it last yr & it will be available this yr also.agbullet2k1 wrote:Have another question...in the unfortunate event that my (or anyone else's) firearm becomes so dirty throughout the day that it begins to have malfunctions, is there going to be a place designated for cleaning, or should we just bring a back-up gun?

Mine will go in today. It's waiting for the postman to pick it up now.
I am trying to work out my travel schedule to be down there. I'm stating to not like this new job. It interferes with my shooting time. I have only been to the range three times in the last 6 months.

agbullet on Ammo consumption:
For clenics you plan to shoot, I would say 50rds per clenic.
Add what every you might want to shoot in the "find the gun for you."
Add ammo for the plate rack & the Texas Star. These two are ammo eaters beyond your wildest imagination if you are new to shooting & have never done either of these.
I shot 400 rds last yr. in my .45.
Another 200 in my .357.
Probably 50 through Mom's 9mm.
My son brought 600 for his .45 & went home w/ only his carry ammo & shot some of mine. He shot a few in His Grandmom's 9mm.
We are not the exception.
If you are going to shoot the plate rack & try the Texas Star I would recomend an absolute minimum of 500 rds. per person.
I know several that were out by 3:00.
IT would not surprise me at all if jbird shot 1000 rds that day.
I shared some & sold some. One that ran out wanted to buy some 9mm. I did not have any of that to sell. Only Mom's.
I think it was jeremy that said bring a wheel barrow. They will tip over. I bring a Wagon.

Okay, I got around to reading the post and responses and can now rest easy.
When I first read the lead in ("TexasCHLforum Day at PSC Registration Forum Posted"), I thought I needed to go to the 30.06 site to see what gives. Seemed strange to me that you would "post" this kind of get together but, to my relief, my first impression was incorrect.
Good to see you can carry at this event. I guess! Your not really posting (30.06) for this event....are you!!!!!!!
