Do Your Teeth Rotate?

Do Your Teeth Rotate?
And, I do mean your natural teeth, not store bought choppers.
Recently, I had my teeth cleaned and examined.
While going through this process, the dental hygienist informed me that older people's teeth rotate. I chuckled appreciatively at this little comedic interlude only to discover she wasn't kidding.
Once the cleaning/scraping etc. was accomplished the dentist came in to give me the once over. She asked if I was having any problems with my teeth and I related in the past six months or so that I was catching food between two teeth in the back, upper area.
She carefully looked at my teeth, then my ex-rays and informed me the food was being caught between those two teeth because they'd rotated, opening a gap between the two teeth. Arrrrgghhhh!
So, if you stay above ground long enough, keep your teeth and advance into geezer-hood, expect your teeth to rotate!
(man, I'm finding out all kinds of things with increased senescence that I'm glad I was ignorant of when younger...sigh)

Getting old isn't for sissies.
I hate going to the dentist.... Unresolved childhood trauma from a bad dentist (pain).
I can feel my BP surge on the drive over...

Recently had an implant done and after crown part was on the dentist had difficulty flossing between the implant and regular tooth. Withing 24 hours though it had shifted so much that you could easily floss it. The teeth seem to be very mobile and so if they can shift left to right I guess they can turn too. Incidentally, one can buy many firearms for the price of an implant.

Re: Do Your Teeth Rotate?
My teeth do not rotate. Nor will they, seeing as how I intend to still be young enough when we figure out that whole "stop aging" thing that I won't have to worry about it.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Abraham, I guess we both are in the same boat. Not sure which one of us two is older but it won't matter anyway.Abraham wrote:And, I do mean your natural teeth, not store bought choppers.

Think about it this way, whatever doesn't kill you just hardens you and as we all know, wisdom comes with age.

Mine move noticeably (to me) and the dentist told me that this was pretty much natural.

Many of mine have moved.....out!
Not having any dental insurance and being of finite resources, I'm thinking of going down to Progreso to get some new chompers.

I'm going to add this one to my list of things that I really don't want to know about.
