if my very well trained dog does what it wants when it wants and get picked by animal control, the county will have to feed it for a while before it's euthanized.suthdj wrote:You're very well trained dog will do what it wants when it wants you have the illusion of control.Richbirdhunter wrote:My very well trained dog was in his own yard and responses to my voice commands.suthdj wrote:IMHO, no leash, no fence, then you no control.

Interesting how Government Employees are so efficient, when you don't want or need them to be.
Quite a few stories recently in the City of Houston about stray dogs hunting in packs and causing all sorts of problems.
I will say it was nice she did not put them in her truck and take them away, that is where I figured this headline was going.

Re: The dog catcher "caught" my dogs in my front yard
Good question. In my fair city I complained about a code enforcement "officer" violating "No Trespass" sign to go behind some structures and who left a sticker and the litter from the sticker and was told they are "quasi-law enforcement". I guess it was "quasi-trespass"WTR wrote:I wonder if a dog catcher can ignore a no trespass sign.

well...Richbirdhunter wrote:If we could satisfy my original question, can I keep my dog in my front yard without a leash or fence?
After we I get this answered, please tell me all about the illusion that I think I have any control over my dog.

Here in San Antonio cats are allowed to roam free. Maybe you should get a cat.

My neighbor's mother in law got a warning from our local police department in their front yard. My neighbor also happened to be the mayor of the suburb, so at least they weren't playing favorites?

For every dog bite I can show you an owner who said their dog was under control or didn't bite.

You've been educated by animal control that not everyone shares your opinion. Next time it just may cost you some coin.Richbirdhunter wrote:I've had a dog since I was 5 years old.
