I just tried those on my week-old iPhone 6s and none of them worked. Siri always responded, "You will need to unlock your iPhone first."

I think you're right. I tried it on the 6S plus I got about a week ago and though it had worked. Turns out the fingerprint reader was authentication faster than I realized.
