Two men were handcuffed and led by mounted officers with a rope. This happened well before the homeless man and no one cared.

Maybe that's how the Texas Rangers now work. Based on events these past few years, the once respected Texas Rangers seem little more than a shadow of their former selves, especially morals and professionalism.
The preponderance of evidence is making it difficult to have any reasonable doubt about the Texas Rangers and the politicians who hold their reins and control their budget. They seem to make decisions based on race and other political factors rather than uphold the Texas Constitution. They choose to behave in ways that destroy the public's trust and respect in the Texas Rangers. Make no mistake, it's their choice, and adults earn the consequences of their choices.
The Texas Rangers refused to get involved when local cops murdered an elderly WHITE couple in Houston. They finally were forced to investigate the gangland style slaying. Or pretend to investigate. The Rangers gave the killers and their accessories months to cover up, destroy, and tamper with evidence. Let them rehearse their stories.
If a quiet elderly BLACK couple was gunned down in their own homes, does anybody really think HPD would be allowed time to cover up the corruption? Not to mention the links to Acevedo and Turner.
But Tuttle and Nicholas were WHITE and Texas politicians are overwhelmingly BLUE, no matter what party they claim. Texas Republican leaders like Speaker of the House Dennis Bonnen is left wing. He was chosen by every (R) in the Texas House to speak for them, and the message is clear.
The Republicans in the Texas House are somewhere to the LEFT of LBJ. They support wealth distribution that makes LBJ's Great Society seem tame. They support laws to infringe the right of the people to keep and bear arms. They did as little as possible to push the Texas Republican Party platform despite their claims to be members of that party. Their actions are BLUE no matter what they say.
