Time to ban those evil golf clubs

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)—PGA Tour golfer Tripp Isenhour was charged with killing a hawk on purpose with a golf shot because it was making noise as he videotaped a TV show

Isenhour was with a film crew for “Shoot Like A Pro on Dec. 12 at the Grand Cypress Golf course. The 39-year-old golfer, whose real name is John Henry Isenhour III, was charged Wednesday with cruelty to animals and killing a migratory bird.

The charges carry a maximum penalty of 14 months in jail and $1,500 in fines.
I guess he thought intentionally hitting balls at a protected bird in front of 15 witnesses was a smart thing to do.Even without witnesses it's illegal and shouldn't be done,I believe there are harrassing laws in most states against even yelling or throwing anything at them
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

I work with many professional golfers and can tell you they are very, very good.

But not good enough to hit a hawk between the eyes from 75 yards. The odds on that shot were huge.
Never the less, he better not quit his day job because there ain't much going on between his ears besides golf.

Do not adjust your computer. The noise you hear is the founding fathers turning over in their graves.

It's a 14 stroke penalty, and a $1,500 fine.

Doesn't matter what the odds were, the fact that he made the attempt, on purpose, is evidence that he intended to do it.

The best description of a "hawk" is "shooting too straight for your own good".
