. . . . nine more . . . through fiscal year 2010 . . .
Guess I need to update my noggin. Thanks for the correction.

The T-38s were for video/PR purposes. The F-16s can be seen in some of the other videos circling around at about 5000 feet. The Apache was flown out of Ellington by one of my coworkers. He just happened to be getting flight hours in that day and decided to wander over and get a front row seat. He wasn't carrying munitions....so he says.

Ahh, I must have missed the F-16's in the video (was watching the small version.) The old eyes aren't what they used to be. LOL

Thanks again for posting!!!!
I don't have the F-16s in my video, but I did see them circling off in the distance. This video has some good closeups and some (cliche) music (so this one is not my video). Seems like I'm not the only one keeping a video camera in my car for "newsworthy" moments.

Here are some pictures I took in 2005 at Edwards AFB of that 747 on the ground. That's where the plane is stationed when it's not in use, since Edwards is the main alternative landing site for the shuttle. I spoke to one of the pilots at the time who told me that they had to put those additional vertical fins on the rear wings because the turbulence coming off the shuttle when it is mounted on top makes the 747 almost un-steerable. Adding those vertical fins stabilized the airflow around the tail of the 747, allowing the rudder to regain effectiveness:

You were probably remembering that there's only one more mission (STS-125, currently targeted for May 2009) to the Hubble telescope. STS-119, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132 and 133 are going to the International Space Station.
