This was posted a while back, but it's still interesting information. I noticed that it doesn't say anything about Hawaiian shirts or fanny packs. ;-)

Yeah, it has been posted several times, but it's always good for new CHLers to read. It took me a good 6 months of carrying to really eliminate all of the things listed in the ilustration. In particular was the stride thing.

Once you've become more comfortable with your rig and it carrying becomes more of an intrinsic part of your everyday routine, you start walking normally and figure out what works best to conceal without having to make active movements to do so. A good holster and gun belt are really fundamental here. The belt really goes a long way to keeping a holster/gun to stay put. I've also found that mag carriers on the weak side eliminate the uneven jacket/cover garment fit.

Since bad guys are more likely to "Mexican carry"
than to have a proper holster, all those tips seem
spot on for observant LEO's.

SIA

3rd Saturdays: Golden Corral, 465 E. I-20, Collins St exit, Arlington.
4th Saturdays: Sunny St. Cafe, off I-20, Exit 415, Mikus Rd, Willow Park.

Honestly, I just donated one to Goodwill yesterday. Doubt if it was ever worn

That's pretty dated. BGs aren't into windbreakers these days. ;-)

Since I'm acting within the law, I really don't care whether a cop can spot me or not.

This poster is from NY City, where only cops and bad guys are allowed to carry guns.
