My Gun Was Stolen !

#1

Post by USA1 »

...by my wife... :cryin

Wile showing her the new Bersa Thunder that I just got, she said "ooh, that can be my gun".
There was a deafening silence as I didn't dare protest her request/statement.

Truth be known though..deep down I was happy she showed interest.
There was even a little talk of a CHL.

We will be going to shoot it Saturday.

P.S. We've owned a Bersa Thunder before so she is quite familiar with this particular gun.

I empathize, and share your pain. :evil2:
Although my situation was a bit more argumentative (yes, Dynablue is a rough girl -- and she did pick out the gun first), it had the same outcome. I can attest that finding a new (high-caliber) friend is the only remedy.

I had a similar incident with my fiance yesterday. I showed her my newly acquired Thunder and first words out of her mouth was, " If I shoot it this weekend and like it can it be my gun? " She just recently started shooting and I think I have opened a can of worms.

Your title had me a little worried! Phew! Sounds like she's headed towards getting her CHL. When is she gonna join the forum?

I see nothing wrong with this scenario. I've got my eye on williamkevin's M&P9. (I think he hides it when it's in the house.) :)

Congrats USA1...look forward to seeing your wife on the forum! :thumbs2:

Don't show her a 1911, or life is going to get real expensive for you. :smilelol5:

You're right about that. I'll keep the 1911's a secret for now.

She would carry a Dirty Harry .44Magnun if it would fit in her purse. :fire

You're a wise man. Never argue with the Misses! My wife and I have a simple understanding...What's mine is her's and whats her's is her's. It saves us both from a lot of debates. I am sure she will understand your need to buy a replacement. :biggrinjester:

I traded a gunsmith friend some computer consulting for his former IPSC setup (Colt 1911 with comp and all the goodies). My wife sez... "With the compersator, this doesn't kick much, it will be perfect for meeee!"

I then buy a S&W 629 .44 magnum Lew Horton custom with 2.5" barrel and my wife sez... "With the short barrel, this will fit in my purse!"

So I go out and buy a S&W 629 DX Classic with 6.5" barrel that won't fit in no dang purse and kicks like a mule. I gets to keep it for my target pistol...

Then I go out and get a RIA Tactical 1911 for my carry piece. I gets to keep it cuz it never leaves my side and I call it "Betsie"...

Gotta love a wife who carries a hand cannon for personal protection and can shoot the 10 ring out of a target at 25 yards with "her" 1911...

her favorite saying... "I won't be sayin' anything about how many guns you own as long as you do not complain about how many shoes are in my closet."

I already made that mistake. Oops! Next time I'll be more discreet.
