Wile showing her the new Bersa Thunder that I just got, she said "ooh, that can be my gun".
There was a deafening silence as I didn't dare protest her request/statement.

Truth be known though..deep down I was happy she showed interest.
There was even a little talk of a CHL.

We will be going to shoot it Saturday.

P.S. We've owned a Bersa Thunder before so she is quite familiar with this particular gun.
I see nothing wrong with this scenario. I've got my eye on williamkevin's M&P9. (I think he hides it when it's in the house.) :)

Congrats USA1...look forward to seeing your wife on the forum! :thumbs2:

Yep, USA1, I know the feeling. I bought an LCP last spring. When she got her CHL in October she said "This one is small enough and light enough to carry in my purse." I get to see it now after a trip to the range to clean it. I'm just glad she has her CHL and carries!!

Awesome story! I'm actually buying one for my wife next month for her birthday. I figure a little jewelry with a nice little .380 will be a nice gift! I hope she likes it as much as your wife did!

Update...

Took the Bersa to the range to make sure it worked since I bought it used.
It shot like a dream. No problems at all. I ran four different kinds of ammo through.

Hornady Critical Defense JHP
Remington Golden Sabers JHP
Monarch JHP
Monarch FMJ

It's a keeper.

Good report USA1! :tiphat: :tiphat:

Knowing that it will digest a variety of ammo with no problems tells me it's a gun that'll get the job done at a reasonable price.

Now you know why "we" own 2 g27s. Only her's is brand new with CT laser grips and tritium sights and mine's a plain jane second hand beater. Why is it this way? Because I love her of course. Oh, and she can out shoot me too!

It's kind of cool this way, we can share our ammo, holsters, and clips with each other. (Like in a cop/buddy movie, except a little cozier at times) But I still refuse to hold her purse.
