This is slightly off the topic of contaminants in water...
One of the most staunch anti-gun liberals I've met, who was an avid swimmer, whose child was on a swim team, and who was very proud of his backyard swimming pool didn't like it when I told him more children die from drowning than handling firearms.
2000-2006 statistics for unintentional deaths ages 0-18
I pulled these statistics from CDC's WISQARS website, a database of injury statistics.
One of the most staunch anti-gun liberals I've met, who was an avid swimmer, whose child was on a swim team, and who was very proud of his backyard swimming pool didn't like it when I told him more children die from drowning than handling firearms.
