Tucker Gun Leather Customer Service
I am not very pleased with them. I contacted them via their website and asked a few questions. I got a reply back with one one question answered. So, I replied back with the same questions but asked about a custom stamping on the HF1, belt and mag carrier and explained what I was looking for. They again ignored my questions and simply said cannot be done, not possible.
If the custom piece cannot be done, I understand. It was a shot in the dark. I would have liked a better explanation but that is not what bothered me. I asked some questions about their products two times and was ignored both times on them. I was looking at ordering the HF1, a belt and a double mag carrier from them but now I won't because I cannot seem to get the info that I need from them.
I am sure that they are a busy place but if they have the time to reply to someone it would make sense that they would answer all questions. I dunno maybe its just me.

Try giving D.M. Bullard a call. Both times I phoned them, I got right through to Dave Bullard. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. My first order was for a holster and gun belt. My second order was for a Lille of mag carriers. When it came, I opened the box and there was a free hat inside. I've since met him a couple of times at the Foat Wuth gunshow, and he was just as nice in person as he was over the phone.

This does not represent the great service on answering questions by Rob Longnecker and holster work by Tucker over ten years.XtremeDuty.45 wrote:I am not very pleased with them. Not sure why you were treated like you were.
I've tried other premium makers, but I always go back to Tucker.
When they mistakenly made a single mag carrier as part of my belt/HF1 rig, they told me to keep it and threw in the double free.
My HF1 arrived with a pattern of grooves running one direction, instead of the crosshatch that I expected (even though they state that each is different).
They promptly sent me another HF1 with a pattern like I had envisioned.
I've got at least a dozen of their holsters and have never been dissatisfied that wasn't immediately rectified.

Re: Tucker Gun Leather Customer Service
Most of what I've heard about Tucker has been positive. I've always wondered why so many gun/holster/accessory manufactures only answer one of the questiions when you email them. Maybe it's an unwritten rule among many of those folks that you only can submit one question to be answered and the rest ingnored??? I would think it would save them a lot of time to answer the quesitons by email rather than on the phone. OH well.......
If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

I have heard nothing but good things about Tucker. Thats why I decided to contact them about wait times and my custom idea. My custom idea is just some certain stamping/tooling that I want. I will be honest, it through me for a bit of a loop when they said it cannot be done but as I said it was a shot in the dark. I am just stumped as to why the ignoring of the other questions. It is just beyond me.

How is the quality of his products? Are they durable? Does the belt support the weight properly? Also, if your holster is one of the IWB is it comfortable?

When demand exceeds supply many suppliers adopt a cavalier customer attitude.
As a one time management professional in corporate purchasing when I encountered this attitude, I would politely inform the supplier their poor attitude and lack of attention would be my reason for taking my business elsewhere and I would NEVER do business with them again. As time inevitably passed and supply exceeded demand, the once haughty supplier would come knocking on my door - and that's what I'd shown them.
More than one imperious supplier has ultimately gone out of business because they assumed demand for their product would always exceed supply.
Consider emailing one last time to inform them why you won't be doing business with them...

You can bet I will be doing that.

Re: Tucker Gun Leather Customer Service
I was puzzled about this comment at first, then I recalled an email from the 6th.
The customer asked about stamping and then asked "Also, can a custom design be put on those products? I am really wanting a POW*MIA setup. I am wanting the POW*MIA emblem on the belt attachment of the HF1 with either the swirl, diamond or crosscut surrounding it and on the rest of the holster. The belt would have "You are not forgotten" stamped on it and on both sides of the lettering the wreath that is above those words in the emblem. For the mag carrier it would have POW*MIA with whatever stamping to to match the holster. Is that at all possible? If so what is the cost and wait for that?"
My response was, "I'm sorry, we cannot put the design you want on our leather. Just not possible." Why did I say that? We have no ability to do it. It's not that we don't want to do it.
My response was clear. I said I was sorry we can't do it.
If I didn't respond to part of your email it was because the POW design seemed to be a key element to the project. If we couldn't do that, the rest of the questions were moot.
I'm sorry I didn't handle the communication in a way that worked for you. I truly don't recall ignoring you.

Re: Tucker Gun Leather Customer Service
As I stated in my first post the custom stamping was a shot in the dark and I am not bothered by the fact that it cannot be done and I completely understand.
What bothered me was when I asked twice about the wait time on a HF1, matching belt and double mag carrier and was never given an answer.

This does point out that communication by texting, email and forum posts often lead to misunderstandings and upset.
Next time I get an inquiry like yours I'll make sure we talk on the phone.

Re: Tucker Gun Leather Customer Service
His quality is very good. Comfort was ok too. I don't use the holster anymore, but that has more to do with the horizontally challenged shape of my body than it does with the quality of the product. I was a total noob when I bought it. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have bought one of the two loop models instead of a single loop model.XtremeDuty.45 wrote:TAM,The Annoyed Man wrote:Try giving D.M. Bullard a call.
