We built our house 4 years ago and grass wasn't in the budget until year 2. What was in the budget for year 1 were 3 stations of sprinklers around the house for that very purpose!

I gave up watering the foundation, live on top of a hill and the water just runs into the cracks never to be seen again....

You know it's hot when...

When you wake up on a saturday, see the fence and backward are wet from rain, and stand at the door stupefied for a minute wondering if you're dreaming.

I know, huh? I got to church this morning at about 7:45, and it was about 78º and breezy. I actually entered the church with a little bounce in my step. I hadn't felt that in a while. It was great.

:iagree: Yep..... It's down to 77 degrees and got the doors and windows open. Nice breeze. Seems wonderful. Hope it drops into the 60s tonight. Fall's here :headscratch

The 100th post occurs on a day when it did not reach 100 degrees.

A beautiful day here in the capital city.

Somewhat ironic that the temps finally break and the midsection of the state pretty much bursts into flames!

My grandson (4 years old) and I were dove hunting yesterday morning. I looked over at him and he had his arms pulled inside his T-shirt. I laughed, he said "Gwandpa, I'm fweezing!" He has a little trouble with his "R's"!

It was sure nice after sweating to death on opening day on Thursday!
